    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    The GL Compliance Specialist will be responsible for all GL postings and account reconciliations within the Payroll Department. This includes the monthly bank reconciliation, payroll intercompany cash reconciliations, payroll GL account reconciliations and routine audit validation. 

     

    Essential Requirements

    • A solid understanding of general ledger rules and payroll accounting
    • Acute attention to detail, process and organization
    • Intermediate Excel and MS Office skills
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills

     

    Position Responsibilities

    All Accounting functions within the payroll department:

    • Process and post weekly payroll General Legers for all 80+ dealerships
    • Prepare Journal Entry forms for HSA, FSA, 401k and Deferred Comp
    • Post HSA, FSA, 401k, taxes and garnishment expenses
    • Weekly payroll schedule and balance sheet reconciliation 
    • Weekly Cash Reconciliation
    • Validate weekly commission
    • Weekly Audit & Compliance
    • Prepare and post Month End accruals
    • Conduct wage comparison reconcilation 
    • Facilitate outstanding check processes 
    • Review and process payroll GL’s for each Platform including the corporate office
    • Follow payroll accounting standards
    • Reconcile and post all ACH and wire transfers from payment services
    • Work with the Controllers with any GL issues, changes or concerns
    • Practice continuous improvement

    Education and Experience

    • Entry level
    • Bachelors Degree Preferred
