Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Body Shop Parts Associate sells parts to all customers, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone. The counter associate is responsible for going above and beyond regular requests to ensure that all relevant and required parts and supplies are available and communicated to the customer, both internally and externally

  • Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
  • Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line
  • Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
  • Provides high level of service to internal and external customers
  • Review body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate
  • Pull and fill orders from stock
  • Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submits orders, according to department guidelines
  • Pull orders for delivery to body shop, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job number
  • Ensure that all Warranty parts are properly tagged, stored and available for return, so that the dealership recovers full credit from the factory
  • Follow up on back-ordered parts and replenishes assigned inventory daily
  • Verify will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required
  • Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order
  • Receive payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, and able to maintain a professional image and demeanor
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Strong computer & phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook)
  • Bi-lingual is always a plus!
  • Previous Parts experienced preferred
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & drug test)
