The primary role of the Paint Dent Repair Reconditioning Technician is to perform a variety of tasks that will overhaul, rebuild and renovate the vehicle to bring the condition of the exterior and interior back to a presentable condition.
- Perform paint-less dent removal (PDR) Ex: doors, fenders, roofs, and hoods
- Inspect vehicle/inventory repair minor door dings and dents as needed for dealership and customers
- Wash/dye interior (carpets/leather etc.)
- Must be able to perform wheel and or rim repair/refinishing
- Painting of small items such as bumpers, hoods, mirrors etc
- Examine damaged vehicles to estimate repair procedures
- Complete work in accordance with applicable safety requirements
- Perform work as outlined on repair orders
- Complete proper documentation and record keeping on repair orders
- Perform proper tool and equipment usage and maintenance
- Inspect vehicles on dealership lots for PDR repairs
- Continuously expanding your knowledge for new technologies and practice
Use a computer to utilize factory software to send service details to service advisors
Work as a team along with the estimators communicating clients vehicle needs
Previous PDR/reconditioning tech experience required
- Degree in collision repair, automotive technology or military equivalent experience
- Other duties to be determined by management
- Must have basic tools
- Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screen(background & drug test)
